I'm not a doctor, but I play one on the internet.

Ask Dr. Beef began as fun little column related to an online game some three-plus years ago. SiSSYFiGHT 2000 was still a young site with a growing community building up around it. A tribute site had emerged as THE place to go when not playing the game, the now-defunct SiSSYFiGHTNews.com. Before the days of SF's message boards, this was the place to find all things SiSSY - art, interviews, columns and general silliness.

I came up with the idea for a SiSSY advice column and with baited breath, I sent a proposal. I was given an enthusiastic thumbs up and Ask Dr. Beef was born.

Shortly after the column started, I began getting "real" questions interspersed with the SF-related questions. It was this aspect that led me to the decision to take Ask Dr. Beef global as a column on this site.

With the death of the writer of Ann Landers, I felt a vast chasm had been opened and only I, Dr. Beef, could fill that with any real success.

So here I am, for you and all your needs.
